Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin Follow The Remembrance And Prayer Of The 78 Years Of Indonesian Independence

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Wury Ma'ruf Amin's wife participated in the 78th Anniversary of Indonesia Merdeka National Remembrance and Prayer event in the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

The national thought and prayer were held by the Palace as the opening of the Independence Month commemorating the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

The President appeared to be wearing a white Muslim shirt combined with a gray suit and a green sarong and a cap, while the Vice President wore an all-white Muslim suit with a black cap.

The President and Vice President sat next to each other. Likewise, the First Lady and Vice President's Wife were seen sitting next to each other in the women's shares.

Also attending the event were a number of ministers and deputy ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, religious leaders, community leaders, and various other elements.

The event began with singing the anthem Indonesia Raya, reading the holy verses of the Koran and reports from the Chairperson of the National Remembrance and Prayer Organizers.
