YOGYAKARTA 'President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has an agenda to meet in China. Jokowi's agenda for China in general is to meet President Xi Jinping. "The president will go to Chengdu (China). He will be there on 27 and 28 (July). The main program is to meet, hold bilateral meetings with President Xi Jinping," explained Retno.

"This morning I will go to RRT (Chinese People's Republic)/China, I together with the first lady will make a working visit to Chengdu," Jokowi said through a Presidential Press statement from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Thursday morning.

President Jokowi also said that the visit was carried out to fulfill President Xi Jinping's invitation.

"My visit to Chengdu was to fulfill President Xi Jinping's invitation and close to 10 years of comprehensive strategic partnerships between RRT and Indonesia," he continued.

The meeting of the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the President of the RRC will be held in Chengdu with several priority agendas, both in the field of national strategic projects RI-RRC and in the health sector.

"In Chengdu I will hold a meeting with President Xi Jinping and a number of priority agendas will be discussed with President Xi, both in the investment sector and various strategic projects of Indonesia-RRT and in the fields of trade and health as well as regional and global issues," Jokowi explained.

Visits to China also did not only fulfill President Xi Jinping's invitation. In his statement, the President said that the agenda for China was to meet business people from China. The meeting will discuss matters relating to investment in industry, energy, and health.

"I will also meet with several CEOs, leaders of Chinese companies who have and will invest in Indonesia, especially in the downstream sector of industry, petrochemicals, new and renewable energy and health," Jokowi explained.

In addition to this agenda, President Jokowi is also scheduled to attend the opening of the World University Games.

"I will also attend the opening of the World University Games to encourage our contingent who are also there and on Saturday 29 July morning to return to Jakarta," said Jokowi.
