Penetrate 11.79 Percent, Bank Mandiri Puncaki Pangsa Pasar Sindication Indonesia
Bank Mandiri is again included in the top ranks of the League Table Indonesian Borrower Loan category Mandated Lead Arranger (MLA) and is included as the Top 3 Bookrunner in Indonesia.
Referring to the Bloomberg League Table Reports, Bank Mandiri is ranked first as Mandated Lead Arrangers (MLA) with the number of syndicated market share reaching 11.79 percent in Indonesia from January 1 to July 6, 2023.
Bank Mandiri Corporate Banking Director Susana Indah Kris Indriati explained that this support is a form of the company's commitment to accelerate business expansion and business development of business actors that directly contribute to the domestic economy.
"In line with the improving pace of the economy, we see that real sector growth leads to a positive level and the need for syndicated credit disbursement in 2023 is also quite good," said Indah in a written statement received by VOI, Saturday, July 22.
Still, in terms of MLA, continued Indah, Bank Mandiri has also succeeded in managing the most jumbo syndicated credit with a total volume deal of 7.1 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp106.36 trillion of total syndicated loans in Indonesia.
Then, from the Bookrunner side, Bank Mandiri also managed to occupy the runner-up position through the acquisition of a market share of 8.89 percent with a total value of 439.69 million US dollars or around Rp. 6.58 trillion until July 6, 2023.
Indah added that there are not a few syndicated credit transactions managed by Bank Mandiri, both as MLA and Bookrunners, which involve international financial institutions, not only from domestic financial institutions.
"This is because the demand for Indonesian Syndicated Loans abroad is quite high, so Bank Mandiri also cooperates with bank partners abroad to participate in syndicated loans managed by Bank Mandiri," he explained.

Not only did he get the best title in the country, referring to the League Table Bloomberg ASEAN Loans, Bank Mandiri occupies the number 6 position as MLA.
Meanwhile, from the Bookrunner category, the bank coded BMRI shares is the only bank from Indonesia that is included in the top 10 banks in Southeast Asia.
Bank Mandiri also received an award from the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) as a Syndicated Loan House of the Year - Indonesia from 2018 to 2022 or five consecutive years.
Indah assessed that with the solid liquidity condition of the bank and the current interest rate, Bank Mandiri saw that several companies prefer fundraising through syndicated loans compared to the issuance of securities. Thus, this has a positive effect on the syndicated credit market in Indonesia.
"As a bank that focuses on wholesale business, Bank Mandiri has strong advantages and commitments in supporting financing with a syndicated scheme. We hope that this effort can also be a catalyst for sustainable economic growth," he concluded.
