Jokowi Orders Repair Of The Wall To Collapse Due To The President's Group Of Helicopters
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo ordered the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono to repair the collapsed barrier after the helicopter of the President's entourage conducted a landing test in Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu.
"Regarding the collapse of the stadium wall, yesterday, the President ordered the Minister of PUPR to immediately make improvements," said Deputy for Press and Media Protocol of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 21.
The incident of the collapse of the barrier wall of the mini stadium in Padang Lekat Village, Kepahiang, Bengkulu, allegedly because the wall was not strong enough to withstand the wind from the Super Puma AS-332L2 helicopter propeller carrying a group of President Joko Widodo's bodyguards.
Bey explained that the helicopter was conducting a landing test on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in preparation for President Jokowi using a helicopter during his working visit to Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province.
However, during a visit to Kepahiang Regency on Thursday (20/7), President Jokowi used road roads and did not use helicopters.
Bey also emphasized that the helicopter landing was in accordance with the standard safe distance, which is 50-70 meters from the nearest building.
Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo visited the Kepahiang Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province, on Thursday.
There, the President checked the handling of tengkes or stunting cases to a number of existing health facilities.

"I came to the first Kepahiang Hospital to ensure that the stunting was also handled at this hospital," the President said in his statement after the review.
President Jokowi appreciated the facilities and the number of health workers owned by the Kepahiang Hospital which were considered good, especially the number of specialist doctors currently owned is sufficient.
