Previously, there had been disagreements between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia and MWA regarding the selection of UNS rectors.
In the process of screening the implementation of the UNS rector election organized by MWA some time ago won the former Deputy Chancellor of Planning, Business Cooperation, and Information UNS Sajidan.
As a result of this disagreement and the emergence of allegations of fraud in the holding of the new rector election, until now the rector's position is still held by Jamal Wiwoho.
