Just Inaugurated, Cisumdawu Toll Tariff Set At IDR 1,275 Per Kilometer

JAKARTA - The Cipali-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) section 4-6 has just been inaugurated by President Joko Widodo.

This 62 kilometer (km) expressway has been set at a rate of IDR 1,275 per kilometer.

"The tariff is around Rp. 1,275 per kilometer. It is much cheaper because 50 percent of construction is financed by the government," said Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono after the inauguration of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, Tuesday, June 11.

He explained that the construction of this toll road cost Rp. 18.3 trillion from the APBN of Rp. 9,07 trillion and the rest comes from Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU).

Even though the tariff is IDR 1275, Basuki continued, the Cisumdawu Toll Road will be digratidized for users for 2 to 3 weeks after its inauguration.

"Two-three weeks of free trials, but depending on the Minimum Service Standard (SPM), I ask for this to be checked first," added Basuki.

Met on the same occasion, Spokesperson for the Ministry of PUPR Endra Atmawidjaja said the imposition of the tariff refers to the Toll Road Entrepreneurs Agreement (PPJT).

Although referring to the old PPJT, the tariffs are not as expensive as the new generation of toll roads whose rates are relatively high.

"What is clear is that he is not the same as the current generation toll road, which costs between Rp. 1,500 to Rp. 2000. The tariff is Rp. 1,275 with a length of 61.6 kilos, it is still below Rp. 80,000. I think 61 km at a rate of Rp. 80,000 is still affordable," explained Endra.

Still related to tariffs, Endra ensured that his party would continue to evaluate.

"The minister asked to be released for a tariff of 2 to 3 weeks. We ask that there are several things that BUJT has tidied up," concluded Endra.

Just so you know, the Cisumdawu toll road which has been operating first includes Section 1 Cileunyi-Pamulian Sepanjanv 11.45 kilometers, Section 2 Pamulihan-Sumedang 17.05 kilometers, and Section 3 Sumedang-Cimalaka 4.05 kilometers.

Meanwhile, other sections will soon follow, namely, Section 4 Cimalaka-Legok 8.2 kilometers, Section 5 Legok-Ujung Jaya 14.9 kilometers, and Section 6 Ujung Jaya-Dawuan, including the Dawuan Convention 6.1 kilometers.
