South Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office Arrests Fugitive Suspect In Village Fund Corruption
The joint team from the Prosecutor's Office arrested AM, a fugitive in corruption suspects in village funds and the allocation of 2019-2020 village funds in Wiringtasi Village, Suppa District, Pinrang Regency.
"The suspect was arrested by a seedling team at the Ice Factory Complex, Tekolabbua Village, Pangkep District, Pangkep Regency," said South Sulawesi Attorney General's Intelligence Assistant Nur Asiah as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 11.
The suspect was arrested on Monday, June 10 at 23.30 WITA. The arrest of the suspect was based on an order from the Head of the South Sulawesi Attorney General's Office Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak and the sowing team moved quickly to monitor the suspect's whereabouts for three days and three nights.
The suspect AM has been summoned by the Special Crimes Investigators of the Pinrang Kejari for questioning and questioning, but has never been cooperative or absent so that the DPO status (wanted list) is issued.
Investigators had visited the suspect's house, but AM was no longer there. In fact, the suspect continued to run away by moving around for a year and three months after becoming a fugitive.
AM has been named a suspect in the alleged corruption case of using the 2019-2020 budget with an allocation of village funds in 2019 of more than Rp. 880.1 million and an allocation of village funds of more than Rp. 1.06 billion (realization of more than Rp. 1.08 billion, including Silpa).
For 2020, more than IDR 1.013 billion received village funds (realization 100 percent) and an allocation of village funds of more than IDR 953.8 million with a realization of more than IDR 1.006 billion, including the 2019 SilPA.

However, in the management and accountability of village funds and the allocation of village funds for infrastructure physical development activities on the orders of the Head of Wiringtasi Village, the accountability data for workers (carpentry) and the purchase of materials is based on the amount in the Draft Budget (RAB).
"But, in reality, the payment of repairmen and the purchase of materials is different from that in RAB. From the actions of the suspect, it is suspected that it resulted in state losses of more than Rp475.9 million according to the calculation results of the Pinrang Inspectorate," said Nur Asianh.
Meanwhile, the reason the suspect fled was because he was afraid to undergo an examination by the Pinrang Kejari investigators after knowing that his village head was detained in connection with the case.
