Roger Federer Introduced As Former Coldplay Personnel At The Concert, Chris Martin: He Was With Us 3 Months Before Becoming Tennis Player
JAKARTA - Roger Federer joined the Coldplay concert which was held in Switzerland recently. He went on stage and was introduced as a former member of the band.
Coldplay shared that moment on their Instagram account. In the video, Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin appears jokingly introducing Federer as their former member.
"In 1996 we had five members, with the fifth members playing percussion. He was with us for about three months, and then he said, 'I will be the greatest tennis player of all time'," Chris said.
"But, today he is here to play percussion again. Our original band member Mr. Roger Federer."
Fereder then went on stage with a musical instrument like a Tamborine joining Coldplay playing the song "Don't Panic."
In the middle of the song, Chris invited Federer to perform a solo performance that other Coldplay band members responded to by temporarily stopping their musical instruments, and then greeted with boisterous applause from the audience.
Coldplay drummer Will Champion, who at that time played the piano while singing, also changed the final lyrics of the song "Don't Panic" by entering the name "Roger" into it. Meanwhile, Federer can only smile broadly on stage.
He called his performance with Coldplay a "night to remember", as quoted via Antara.
In a multi-photo post on his Instagram account, Federer revealed the conditions behind the stage whileffixing the phrase "Adventure of a Lifetime", one of Coldplay's songs, in the description of the bottom of the photo.
