West Java (Jabar) Governor M Ridwan Kamil confirmed that there were indications of fundraising being carried out at the Al-Zaytun Islamic State (NII) Ponpes to finance the activities of the Indonesian Islamic State (NII) group.
"There is (NII indications). It's not that detailed, but the direction is to raise funds in that direction (NII)," said Ridwan Kamil at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Monday, July 3, which was confiscated by Antara.
However, the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil emphasized that this was only an indication. So his party asked the public and scholars to be calm in responding to the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School polemic.
"The government is preparing firm action against the pesantren. So people must be calm, the ulama forum is also calm, that decisive action is ongoing," he said.
Kang Emil supports the Ministry of Religion which will freeze Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School permits if it is proven to spread heretical teachings.
"And if it is suspected that there was an illegal circulation of money from illegal activities that violated the law, it should also be frozen immediately. So as to avoid the circulation of illegal money, it will fund things that undermine the state," he said.

This is because there are many students in Al Zaytun whose future must be considered as well as assets in the form of 1,200 hectares of land owned by Al Zaytun today.
"You must wisely provide a solution so that thousands who have the status of students or students there can be given the fairest education solution," he said.
Furthermore, Kang Emil also asked that the resolution of the problems that hit Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School in Indramayu Regency should not sacrifice the right to education for children and students who have already attended school there.
"The government is recommended to be frozen or dissolved, but it must provide a solution wisely so that thousands of children who are already students or students there can be given the fairest education solution," he said.
