Give Big Discounts, Tesla Again Sets Car Delivery Record To Customers
JAKARTA - Tesla, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer from the United States, has again broken a record vehicle shipment in three months for the second time in 2023, affirming its position as a pioneer of innovation in the electric car sector.
This extraordinary achievement was driven by various advanced technologies presented to Tesla's vehicle lineup, as well as a significant price discount program on its model. Reportedly on the Drive page, on Monday, July 3, Tesla managed to send a total of 470,000 vehicles to customers.
In detail, from April to June 2023, Tesla managed to send as many as 466,140 vehicles, which showed an increase of 83 percent compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, Tesla's total vehicle production during that period reached 479,700 units.
This figure even exceeds the predictions of financial analysts who estimate the delivery of around 448,000 vehicles. This success also shifts the record for the first quarter of 2023 (January to March) by 10 percent, with total shipments reaching 422,875 units.
This positive trend was triggered by various price cuts in the US, Australia, and other countries since the beginning of the year, as a strategic step to maintain high demand in the face of electric car competition from various other manufacturers.
Tesla is doing massive price cuts on its models to maintain the high interest of consumers in Tesla electric cars, facing increasingly fierce competition from various electric car brands.
In Australia, Tesla even lowered its vehicle price to its lowest level in history on July 1, which was around $3,900 for each model, before on-road costs and Luxury Car Tax. However, Tesla's shipping figure in Australia will only be announced when VFACTS sales data by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries is released this weekend.

Although details of the vehicle model sent were not disclosed in detail, Tesla revealed that as many as 446,915 units of total shipments from April to June 2023 were Model 3 and Model Y, while the rest, namely 19,225 units, were Model S and Model X.
