Ministry Of Social Affairs Distributes IDR 370 Million Aid For Victims Of The Yogyakarta Earthquake
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs distributed aid worth Rp370,246,620 for handling 6.4 magnitude earthquake victims in southern Java, which had quite an impact in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY).
"Through the Command Center of the Ministry of Social Affairs RI and WAG, the Minister has ordered all central/balai officers, Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana) and other elements of the Ministry of Social's companions who are closest to the earthquake-affected areas, such as Solo, Yogyakarta, Magelang, Baturaden, Temanggung, and Pati, to comb all affected locations and carry out emergency handling assistance measures to affected residents," said Acting Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Rome Uli Jaya Sinaga, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, July 1.
He detailed that the assistance included the establishment of a multi-purpose tent for evacuation at the Kuwon Kidul Hamlet, Gunungkidul.
The distribution of logistical assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs includes a number of affected districts, such as Pacitan Regency (East Java), Gunungkidul Regency, Bantul Regency (DIY), and Kebumen Regency (Central Java).
Logistical assistance provided in the form of children's food, food and side dishes ready for food, sleeping utensils, children's clothing and adult clothing, kitchen utensils, rolled tents, multipurpose tents, and portable family tents.
"The assistance is distributed through the Soeharso Solo Hall," said Romal.
