Galtier Arrested By Police, PSG Kian Near Luis Enrique's Work

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain coach Christopher Galtier has reportedly had to deal with the Nice Police. He and his son, John Valovic-Galtier, were questioned and later detained on suspicion of racism while still training OGC Nice.

"Galtier has been accused of making discriminatory, racist, and Islamophobic statements during a season serving in Nice in 2021-2022," the International Goal report reads.

This case makes Galtier's position at PSG even more vulnerable. Later, the Ligue 1 club was rumored to be expelling Galtier from the coaching chair

Even reportedly, PSG has already got a replacement candidate.

Former coach of the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique, is said to have agreed to coach Kylian Mbappe and his friends. Famous transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, said Enrique signed a two-year contract.

"Paris Saint-Germain is ready to seal an agreement with Luis Enrique, will soon sign a two-year contract," Romano tweeted via his Twitter account, Friday, June 30.

"The Spanish coach will be inaugurated after the club finalize a deal out with Christophe Galtier, very close," continued Romano.

During his professional career as a coach, Enrique has coached three clubs, namely AS Roma, Celta de Vigo, and Barcelona as well as a national team, namely the Spanish national team. His successful career in coaching the club was four years of training the Blaugrana.

At that time, he succeeded in presenting nine trophies, including 1x Champions League (2014/2015), 1x Club World Cup (2015), 2x Spanish League (2014/2015, 2015/2016), 1x European Super Cup (2015), 3x Copa del Rey (2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017), and 1x Supercopa de Espana (2016).

Meanwhile, during the four years of coaching the Spanish national team, the 53-year-old coach failed to present a trophy. He failed to bring La Furia Roja to the top two events, namely Euro 2020 because he was stopped in the semifinals and in the 2022 World Cup Qatar because he was stopped in the round of 16.
