Two Merangin Police personnel, Jambi, were dishonorably dismissed for being involved in fraud and narcotics cases. The two personnel had the initials Bripda AS and Brigadier RA.

The US Bripda was terminated by PTDH for being involved in a fraud case and Brigadier RA was given a code of ethics witness for committing a narcotics crime.

Merangin Police Chief, AKBP Dewa Nyoman Arinata said the dishonorable dismissal of the US Bripda was terminated by PTDH based on the Decree of the Regional Police Chief (SK Kapolda) Jambi Number: 224/V/2023. Meanwhile, Brigadier RA was decided based on the Decree of the Jambi Police Chief Number 225/V/2023. "The dishonorable dismissal of the two Merangin personnel was based on an official letter issued by the Jambi Police Chief. The dismissal of the two was carried out in a absential manner, both of which were not present. They were both legally and convincingly proven to have violated the police professional code of ethics," said Dewa Nyoman Arinata.

Arinata said that the person concerned violated Article 11 letter a and Article 13 paragraph 1 PP RI Number 1 of 2003 concerning the dismissal of members of the National Police and Article 7 letter b and Article 11 letter c of Perkap number 14 of 2011 concerning the police professional code of ethics.

"The person concerned was given a code of ethics sanction for committing a criminal act of fraud and embezzlement. The two cases have now received a court decision with permanent legal force," he said.

The Merangin Police Chief hopes that all personnel can take lessons from this dismissal, and become a lesson for other Merangin Police personnel to be more disciplined and obedient to the rules and regulations that apply within the Police.

"I also ask that in carrying out the task it is based on a sense of sincerity and solely for worship so that later during the world and the hereafter," he said.

He also conveyed to all personnel to carry out their duties properly and sincerely and serve the community sincerely.
