Ashley Campbell, US Country Musician Prepares Free Concert In Ambon
JAKARTA - United States musician Ashley Campbell will hold a music concert in Ambon City on July 7, 2023, after holding concerts in Jakarta, Banjarmasin, and Makassar, Ambon will be Ashley's last stop on this musical tour.
Deputy Public Affairs Officer of the United States Consulate, Wouter Housen, reported this in an online statement, Friday. He said the city of Ambon was chosen to be the destination of the concert because Ambon's love for music was proven with the Ambon slogan "City of Music".
The concert in Ambon is part of a cultural exchange program from the United States Consulate General in Surabaya in collaboration with the American Corner of Pattimura University and supported by Ambon Music Office.
The concert will be held at the Pattimura University Auditorium Ambon, where Ashley will appear for 90 minutes performing 14 songs.
Ashley Campbell will come with four other band members namely Thor Jensen as guitar player, Eli Bishop (biola), James Sullivan (bass) and Christopher Gelb (drummer and percussion player).
"This music concert is open to the public and free, viewers who are interested in attending can register," he said, quoting Antara.
Wouter Housen admits that Ambon is a musician's warehouse that gave birth to a number of classy musicians, besides that it also has various traditional musical instruments.
"We hope that through this program we can strengthen the cultural network between America and Ambon," he hoped.

Through this concert, Ashley Campbell will share the life experience that ignites the fire of her enthusiasm to understand the environment and how this spirit has had a great influence in the creation of her songs.
Ashley also wants to share how country music becomes a medium to inspire change and build a cultural understanding for her and the people around her.
The day before July 6, 2023, Ashley Campbell and the band will also give a workshop on music for students and lecturers at the Ambon State Christian Institute (IAKN).
