KPK Reveals Many Entrepreneurs Complain About Alleged Corruption In Papua
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that many entrepreneurs have complained about allegations of corruption in Papua. All complaints are related to project work.
"I have discussed this some time ago with business actors in Papua. We have received a lot of information," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata as seen from the Indonesian KPK YouTube show, Monday, June 26.
Among these complaints are related to the existence of fictitious projects up to 100 percent payment even though the work has not been completed. "That's the information we received," said Alexander.
However, this complaint did not dare to be officially conveyed by entrepreneurs. Because, they inevitably participate in the practice of the riot.
"Of course, yes, we have to admit. Conditions in Papua are indeed a special condition regarding security issues, as well as regarding infrastructure or readiness from human resources. There are still many improvement efforts," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK revealed that 32 corruption cases had been handled on Earth of Cendrawasih. There is no discrimination because Papua also received the same supervision.
During Firli Bahuri's tenure as Chairman of the KPK, there were three corruption cases in Papua that were handled and ensnared the regional head. They are Mimika Regent Eltinus Omaleng, Central Mamberamo Regent Ricky Ham Pagawak, and Papua Governor Lukas Enembe.
Lukas is suspected of accepting bribes from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijatono Lakka. Meanwhile, gratification is allegedly given by other private parties in order to get projects in Papua.
Not only that, Lukas was charged with alleged money laundering. This step was taken after the KPK developed the bribery and gratification case that ensnared him.
Just like Lukas, Ricky is also entangled in allegations of bribery and gratification. Furthermore, investigators developed the case and found that there was a crime of money laundering (TPPU).
