South Kalimantan Police Forms 1,099 RW Police At 13 Polres

BANJARMASIN - The South Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kalsel) formed 1,099 Rukun Warga Police (RW) in 13 Polres ranks to help overcome problems that occurred in the smallest scope, namely RW or RT where they lived.

"For the initial stage, only 1,099 personnel can be confirmed to become RW Police and immediately work in fostering peace with the community," said South Kalimantan Police Irwasda Kombes Turman Sormin Siregar in Banjarmasin as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.

Currently, the South Kalimantan Regional Police still cannot cover the total number of RWs in South Kalimantan, namely 3,043 RWs or only 36.1 percent has been fulfilled.

Even so, he ensured that the RW Police program would gradually continue to be developed and optimize its formation in all ranks of the South Kalimantan Police.

Turman said that the RW Police were assigned to build a community that could cooperate with the community in order to improve security and order and become a problem of solving problems in the RW environment.

He also advised all personnel to always uphold the principles of obedience in accordance with the procedures in every implementation of tasks and to understand the characteristics of the community because each environment has rules and regulations that must be respected.

"Like a saying where the earth is stepped on, the sky is upheld, then the RW Police must prioritize local wisdom of the community," he said representing the South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Andi Rian R Djajadi.

Irwasda invites all parties to support the RW Police program so that the maintenance of security and social order can run optimally to support the smooth development of each region.
