Considering The Opportunities For The PDIP And Democrat Coalition, AHY Is A Strong Candidate For Vice President Ganjar Pranowo?

YOGYAKARTA - Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) appears a list of vice presidential candidates who will accompany Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election. The inclusion of the name of the General Chairperson of the Democratic Party DPP as the Ganjar pair is quite surprising to the public. So what are the opportunities for the PDIP and Democrat coalition?

Approaching the 2024 election, various surprises appeared in political contestation. AHY, who has always been associated with Anies Baswedan, suddenly entered the list of vice presidential companions to Ganjar Pranowo. Not to mention that considering that so far PDIP's relationship with Democrats is not as close as other parties.

The PDIP Party also revealed the possibility that AHY was duet with Ganjar Pranowo. Hasto Kristiyanto, Secretary General of the PDIP DPP, said that the red party only wants to bring the spirit to embrace all political elements. The opportunity for the PDIP and Democrat coalition is also widely discussed by the public.

Puan Maharani, Chair of the PDIP DPP, has raised her voice regarding the opportunities for her party's coalition with the Democrats. In the near future, Puan said that she would meet with AHY to discuss the common vision and goals in building Indonesia.

"Yes, we'll see, chat first, then we'll see if we have the same things, intentions, and goals to build Indonesia in the future," said Puan at the DPD PDIP DIY Office, Yogyakarta City, Sunday (11/6).

Since recently, PDIP has started to open up to collaborate with Democrats to face the 2024 presidential election. Following the discourse on the reconciliation of these two political parties, AHY's name is included in Ganjar Pranowo's vice presidential list.

PDIP has openly revealed that it will hold a meeting with AHY to open up opportunities for reconciliation of political parties. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), Chairman of the Democratic Party Council, welcomed an invitation from Puan Maharani.

The chairman of the East Java Democratic Party DPD, Emil Dardak, also responded to the opportunity for reconciliation of his party with the PDIP. The Deputy Governor of East Java said the authority to determine the presidential and vice-presidential candidates was in the hands of the DPP, including the party's upper house.

Emil Dardak also revealed that the Democrats had carried out a lot of political communication some time ago, including with the PDIP. He also said there were good things from the meeting of the Secretary General of Democrats Teuku Riefky with PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.

Such is the review of the opportunities for the PDIP and Democrat coalition. The Secretary General of PDIP and Democrats held a meeting on Sunday (11/6) to schedule a meeting between Puan Maharani and AHY.
