PDIP Denies Issues Approach Democrats To Shake Anies Baswedan's Coalition
JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary General for Internal Affairs of the PDI-P DPP Utut Adianto dismissed the issue of his party approaching the Democratic Party to shake up the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP).
The presidential candidate (candidate) Anies Baswedan was declared by three parties in the KPP to run in the 2024 General Election. The three parties are NasDem, Democrat and PKS.
"If someone thinks, that's called an opinion person, yes, it's okay. The analysis can be of various kinds, yes, that's the point, but what is clear is that the PDI-P opens the door with all its core parties," said Utut as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 12.
According to him, PDIP is open to collaborating with any party. This also rejected the news that the party bearing the white-nosed bull logo was too explicit.
"If you say we are too exclusive, no, the proof is that we just opened that point," he said.
Previously, PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said that the PDI-P prioritized the politics that embraced when it was asked why the name of the General Chairperson of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) was included in the radar of the prospective vice presidential candidate (cawapres).
"Yes, when the name appeared, Mas AHY conveyed Mbak Puan Maharani (Chairman of the PDI-P DPP), the spirit that embraces all political elements," Hasto told reporters, Thursday (8/6).

The statement refers to the Chairman of the PDI-P DPP Puan Maharani who had mentioned AHY's name as one of the figures who entered the prospective vice presidential candidate accompanying the presidential candidate from the PDI-P Ganjar Pranowo.
Hasto emphasized that PDIP understands political ethics, especially the Democratic Party is involved in political cooperation with the NasDem Party and PKS.
"However, when there is an input (the name AHY will become a vice presidential candidate), yes, it is our responsibility to convey it to the public," said Hasto.
Hasto realized that AHY's position with the Democratic Party was different from that of PDIP ahead of the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres). However, he believes that dialogue spaces must be opened in politics.
