Bukan Bunker, Kapolda Sulsel Paparkan Temuan Brankas Narkoba Di UNM Makassar

South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Police Chief Inspector General Setyo Boedi Moempoeni stated that the findings at the Makassar State University (UNM) Campus in the Parangtambung area were safes suspected of being narcotics storage. The Kapolda confirmed that the findings were not a drug bunker that had been in the public spotlight.

"While it is a question that there is a bunker, but it is a safe planted in the ground that is closed by the telalis and then sealed off," said the South Sulawesi Police Chief as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, June 11.

Police found a safe with a length of 35 centimeters, a width of 25 centimeters, and a height of 25 centimeters planted in a 40x40 centimeter soil in one of the unused rooms at the Faculty of Language and Letters of UNM Parangtambung.

"Brankas was put in a hole and paired with iron trellis, in the welding, then closed with a seal so that it was disguised. At the time of the incident the members realized that one of the corners (rooms) had irregularities, the tap from the seal had a different sound, finally we opened a safe," he said.

The collection of evidence of the safe, said the Kapolda, was hampered during the evacuation process because it had to be forcibly dismantled, being fined to be taken and presented at a release at the South Sulawesi Police Headquarters.

In disclosing the drug trafficking network case, he said, as many as six people were named as suspects with four crime scenes (TKP).

The first location is on Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin, Gowa Regency. The second location is at the PENG Parangtambung Campus, Jalan Malangkeri, Tamalate District, Makassar.

Furthermore, the third location, at the SAPX Cargo Terminal, Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Mandai District, Maros Regency; and the fourth location on Jalan Muhammad Tahir, Perum Jongaya Indah Blok C/15 Tamalate District, Makassar City.
