Throughout 2023, PPATK Finds Flow Of IDR 442 Billion Funds Related To TIP

JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) found a flow of funds related to the criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) worth Rp442 billion this year. The findings have also been submitted to the Police.

"In 2023 PPATK has submitted 4 HA (Analysis results) related to TIP with a transaction value of approximately Rp442 billion," said Head of the Public Relations Bureau of PPATK Natsir Kongah when confirmed, Thursday, June 8.

The results of the PPATK analysis were also said to have been followed up by the National Police, both at the Bareskrim and regional levels. In fact, there has been disclosure and determination of the suspect.

However, the number of cases that have been revealed is not specified as the results of the PPATK analysis.

"This has been followed up by the Police with the determination of the suspects," he said.

Natsir continued, regarding the TIP network that illegally dispatched Indonesian citizens (WNI), so far it is still in the analysis process. Later, all developments will be coordinated with the Police.

"For other illegal migrant workers placement networks, be it the Cambodian network as requested by the National Police and the PPATK, the flow of funds is being traced to various PJKs," said Natsir.

Previously, the National Police had conveyed about 500 TIP cases that had been revealed in the last three years.

Hundreds of these cases were revealed by Bareskrim Polri and Polda ranks. When referring to the data, the mode used by the perpetrators is to lure jobs abroad.

In fact, in the last three years, this mode has occurred the most frequently in 2022. However, the number of cases using this mode is not specified.

"In 2022, there are the highest cases, namely the mode of migrant workers, and the victims in the TIP case are mostly migrant workers," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan.
