The Residential Level Of The Malang City Star Hotel Room Drops 6.06 Points For The April 2023 Period
Malang City Central Statistics Agency (BPS) stated that the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of the Star Hotel in Malang City, East Java, in April 2023 experienced a fairly deep decline, recorded 6.06 points compared to the previous month.
Head of BPS Malang City Erny Fatma Setyoharini in a virtual press conference in Malang City, East Java, Monday said that in March, the TPK of star hotels in Malang City was 51.3 percent, higher than April 2023 which was 45.24 percent.
"TPK is a five-star hotel in Malang City in April 2023, down 6.06 points compared to the previous month," said Erny, quoted from Antara, Monday, June 5.
Erny explained, TPK star hotels are indicators that reflect the level of productivity of accommodation services businesses. If the TPK rate is high and tends to approach 100 percent, it means that most rooms are sold.
According to him, with the TPK of star hotels at 45.24 percent, it means that there are 45-46 rooms filled, out of 100 available rooms. The TPK of star hotels in Malang City in the last two months has recorded a decline.
Based on records, the TPK of star hotels in Malang City in March, which amounted to 51.3 percent, fell 3.07 points compared to February 2023.
In April, the TPK of star hotels in Malang City fell again by 6.06 points.
"But when compared to the same month in the previous year, the TPK of Malang City-star hotels rose 11.92 points," he said.
In April 2023, Malang City TPK was recorded to be higher than East Java and nationally. During that period, East Java star hotel TPK was 43.14 percent and the national was 41.37 percent.
"The TPK of Malang City-star hotels is still higher than East Java and nationally in April 2023," he said.

Meanwhile, for the average length of stay for guests (RLMT) at star-classified hotels in Malang City, he continued, in the same period it reached 1.48 days, which means the average hotel guest stay ranges from one to two days.
"The April 2023 RLMT decreased when compared to the March 2023 RLMT which was recorded at 1.61 days," he said.
In April 2023, the composition of visitors to star-classified hotels in Malang City consisted of 0.98 percent of foreign guests and 99.02 percent of Indonesian guests.
