Attention, Motorized Vehicles In DKI That Have Not Been Tested For Emissions Will Be Ticketed
JAKARTA In accordance with Traffic Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation, the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service will apply fines for motorized vehicles that do not carry out emission tests.
"This activity is the starting point for the implementation of three important policies to ensure that all motorized vehicles in Jakarta meet the exhaust emission threshold as an effort to improve air quality," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency (LH), Asep Kuswanto, quoting Antara, Monday, June 5.
The amount of the ticket for motorcycles is IDR 250 thousand and four wheels or more IDR 500 thousand. Asep added that two other policies were the implementation of parking disincentives for vehicles that did not carry out emission tests for the DKI Gubernatorial Regulation Number 66 of 2020 concerning Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Tests.
Then, the imposition of the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) fine coefficient in accordance with PP 22/2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management. This tax fine will target vehicle owners who when paying PKB have not carried out emission tests.
Meanwhile, the parking location that applies the highest tariff has been increased by six points so that 11 locations with the highest tariff of IDR 7,500 per hour are progressive.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a grand emission test in the DKI Jakarta area and the capital buffer zone on June 5 to welcome Jakarta's 496th anniversary and World Environment Day with a vehicle target of 2,000.
"The 2023 Grand Emissions will be held at Ragunan Wildlife Park, Bogor City, Bogor Regency, Depok City, Tangerang City, South Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, Bekasi City, and Bekasi Regency simultaneously on Monday, June 5, 2023," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service, Asep Kuswanto, in a written statement received by Antara.
