Social Minister Risma Hands Over Fiber Ship To Fill Children's Nutrition In Agats Asmat

ASMAT - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini handed over social empowerment assistance in the form of 27 fiberglass ships to make efforts to fulfill children's nutrition in Agats District, Asmat Regency, South Papua.

Social Minister Risma said that one of the primary needs of the community in Agats is water transportation such as ships, so that fiber ships that are handed over are expected to help people's commercial activities.

"We help ships other than for their business to find fish or sell their products, but also for transportation access," said Social Minister Risma at the Agats Diocese as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 1.

The assistance of fiberglass long boats, 1,000 pig seeds, thousands of pairs of clothing and lighting for 100 units of solar power (PJUTS) public roads, was symbolically handed over by Social Minister Risma to the Bishop of the Diocese of Agats Aloysius Murwito and the Regent of Asmat Elisa Kambu.

In addition to handing over the aid, Social Minister Risma also seeks to fulfill the nutrition of children in Agats from the assistance for empowering laying hens.

Social Minister Risma distributed eggs, as well as snacks for children who gathered not far from the Agats Diocese. There, the Agats Diocese translated Social Minister Risma's vision of the "Group of Egg Sabutir."

"Because Agats is very special, his land cannot be planted, so I try to find out how this nutrition can be taken from the laying hens farm, and the village there because the river is very cloudy, so we help catfish," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

Agats District also has a problem with clean water, so Social Minister Risma also provides salination assistance for brackish water at three points for drinking water. The salinated water is also drunk by the children.

Three points of drinking salination are found at Agats Hospital, An-Nur Mosque, and Agats Museum. Social Minister Risma said that her party received two more salination points, because the community was still very dependent on rainwater.

According to the Minister of Social Affairs, people in Agats already have many activities. Currently, people want to move to try to sew and do shrimp pond activities.

The Ministry of Social Affairs will in this case provide pool assistance for shrimp production and shrimp cracker processing.

Details of the assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs submitted to beneficiaries through Agats Diocese, namely 27 fiberglass long boats, stimulant assistance for the empowerment of a pair of pigs to 500 beneficiaries, facilities and infrastructure such as PJUTS, fiberglass ship workshops, and daily clothing for 500 beneficiaries.
