Apple's New Headset AR/VR Leak, Bring Double Screen With A Brightness Of 5,000 Nits Priced At Tens Of Millions!
Apple's upcoming Headset of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) mixed reality is claimed to have a dual screen with a brightness of 5,000 nits.
According to analyst and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Ross Young via his Twitter stated, each of the two screens will measure 1.41 inches of Micro OLED 4K diagonally. Apple targets brightness of more than 5,000 nits and 4,000 pixels per inch.
The brightness of 5,000 nits mentioned by Young refers to peak brightness. With this, Apple's AR/VR headset will support HDR or high dynamic range content, which is not common for this type of headset on the market.
Both superior contrasts, bright colors, and refined highlights, will make the headset comfortable to use.
In comparison, high-end TV generally offers a brightness of about 2000 to 5000 nits, ensuring an immersive viewing experience.
Apple is said to also offer a total 8K resolution, which makes it superior to Meta's high-end Quest Pro 2 headset.
Quest Pro 2 itself only has a resolution of 1800 x 1920 pixels per lens and about 1200 pixels per inch due to Meta using LCD screen technology.
Apple plans to launch this headset at its 2023 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) annual celebration, right next week.
Apple's AR/VR headset is expected to be one of the more expensive headsets of canpuran reality in the market, with a price range claimed at 3,000 US dollars equivalent to IDR 44 million.
This price makes him compete with AR-based products such as Magic Leap 2 and HoloLens 2. Thus quoted from FoneArena, Wednesday, May 31.
