Klungkung Regent Asks For Improvement Of Nusa Penida Infrastructure For KSPN
DENPASAR - Klungkung Regent I Nyoman Suwirta asked the central government for assistance through the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas to improve a number of infrastructures that are the main obstacles for the Klungkung Regency Government in an effort to prepare Nusa Penida for the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN).
Regent Nyoman Suwirta conveyed some of these obstacles openly to the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas so that the government's plan to make Nusa Penida as one of the KSPNs can be achieved supported by adequate infrastructure, as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 22.
Therefore, Klungkung Regent Nyoman Suwirta invited representatives of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas consisting of Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Ervan Maksum, Director of Water Resources M.Irfan Saleh, Director of Transportation Ikhwan Hakim, and other groups to directly inspect several areas included in the KSPN Nusa Penida.
The places visited by the Regent of Klungkung Nyoman Suwirta and the Bappenas group are the Kelingking Beach, Pasih Uug or Broken Beach tourist attraction, Angel Billabong, SPAB Mata Air Penida, Crystal Bay, Munjul Ceningan Bias Port and also review the plan for a new Jeningan-Lembongan crossing bridge with the KSPN Nusa Penida mass plan.
The Regent said that along with the development of tourism in the Nusa Penida area, there are still many things that need to be addressed, starting from road infrastructure to the availability of clean water.
The Regent explained a number of facilities that need improvement and touch from the central government, namely road access, embankment construction to overcome coastal abrasion, clean water and drinking water needs, telecommunications networks and waste management.
"We in the Regency cannot work alone. With collaboration, we hope that the Deputy can unravel and accelerate the solving of the problems we are facing, so that the existing potential can be developed to make guests more comfortable in Nusa Penida," said Regent Suwirta.
The Regent also expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas for directly reviewing several locations in Nusa Penida that require collaborative work between local governments and the central government.

Meanwhile, Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Ervan Maksum said he came to Nusa Penida to see firsthand what became the concern of the central government to accelerate KSPN Nusa Penida.
Ervan said that to overcome the problem of road infrastructure and embankments, his party asked the local government to coordinate with each other in finding solutions. Likewise, regarding the availability of drinking water and raw water. He said that everything that became an obstacle for the development of Nusa Penida tourism could be submitted by the local government so that it would be followed up immediately by the central government.
In addition, the construction of the Ceningan-Lembongan Bridge is important in supporting the Munjul Bias Port which connects transportation in the gold triangle area, Sanur, Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan.
