Megawati Said Many Generals Intend To Enter PDIP
JAKARTA - The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri revealed that many generals want to join her party, PDI Perjuangan (PDIP). However, Megawati did not specify the general in question.
This was conveyed by Megawati when she was a speaker at the book launch event on the 58th day of the National Resilience Institution (Lemhanas), Saturday, May 20.
Initially, Megawati appreciated the Governor of Lemhanas Andi Widjajanto for inviting her. He said Andi had known him since childhood because his father, who is a general, had joined his party.
"I am very grateful to Mr. Andi Widjajanto. I have known him since childhood because his father is Majen Theo Syafei. At that time there were still few generals who came to my party," Megawati said, starting her remarks at the Lemhanas Building, Central Jakarta, Saturday, May 20.
However, this condition is now considered by Megawati to have changed. "There are so many generals who want to enter the PDIP," he said with a smile.
This response was conveyed by Megawati in front of invited guests at the book launch event. One of those present was TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono.
At that time, Megawati asked for her speech to be considered. The content of the speech was called not random.
The PDIP general chairman also touched on several things in his speech, including asking the generals to pay attention to his subordinates. After a speech, he will press the book launch button symbolically.
