KPK Prosecutor Demands 2 ASN Supreme Court 6-8 Years In Prison
The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has demanded two state civil servants who are staff of the Supreme Court as defendants in the bribery case of Supreme Court judges, each with a sentence of six and eight years in prison.
Public Prosecutor Amir Nurdianto said the two defendants, Desy Yustria, were sentenced to eight years and 10 months in prison and Nurmanto Akmal six years and three months in prison.
"Demanding that the Panel of Judges at the Bandung District Court examine and try this case decide," Amir said during the reading of the charges at the trial as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.
In reading the charges, the defendant Desy Yustria was read out by the prosecutor, and then the prosecution read out the demands for the defendant Nurmanto Akmal.
The defendant Desy Yustria was prosecuted by the prosecutor with a law for eight years and 10 months in prison and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, subsidiary to six months in prison. In addition, Desy was also required to pay compensation of Rp. 2,000 Singapore dollars and Rp. 21 million.
Desy was found guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption in accordance with Article 12 letter c and a in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code as the first alternative indictment and the second indictment of the first alternative.
As for the defendant Nurmanto Akmal, the prosecutor demanded that he be sentenced to six years and three months and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, and then paid compensation for nine thousand Singapore dollars and Rp. 57.5 million.
The prosecutor assessed that Nurmanto was guilty in accordance with Article 12 letter c in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code as the first alternative indictment.
In the indictment of the Supreme Court judge's bribery case, Desy Yustriadan Nurmanto Akmal is suspected of being an intermediary for giving bribes to Supreme Court Justice Sudrajad Dimyatidan Gazalba Saleh.
The bribe came from Heryanto Tanaka through his lawyer, Theodorus Yosep Parera, to manage a case related to the Intidana Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP). So that the bribe was allegedly carried out because the bribe wanted the Supreme Court judge to grant the appeal filed.
