TMMD Program In South Papua, Mappi Regency Government Builds 15 Houses For Rubber Farmers
PAPUA SELATAN - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Mappi, South Papua, will build 15 housing units in Homlikya Village, Syahhcame District.
Regional Secretary of Mappi Regency, Ferdinandus Kaikamu, said the construction was the implementation of the 116th TNI Manunggal Entering Village (TMMD) program in 2023.
He said the assistance of the 15 housing units would later be given to rubber farmers in Homlikya Village.
"With the assistance of houses through the TMMD program, the community, especially rubber farmers, are more comfortable to live and rest well," he said in a press release, Friday, May 12, which was confiscated by Antara.
According to Ferdinandus, the 116th TMMD program is the work program of Kodim 1707/Merauke for the 2023 fiscal year in the territory sector by constructing 15 3x6 type houses in Homlikya Village.
"The TMMD program has a positive impact on residents, so we must support and succeed because synergy is needed between the TNI and the people and local governments so that the village can develop more," he said.
He explained that in principle the Mappi Regency Government fully supports the implementation of TMMD activities in Homlikya Village which are scheduled for one month from May 10, 2023 to June 8, 2023.
"We give our appreciation because through this TMMD activity it helps the government in responding to one of the needs of the community that can be met," he said.

He hopes that during the implementation of the TMMD activities, good cooperation will be established, and the local community will also be proactive and not hinder work, but will assist the TNI in mobilizing materials to the TMMD activity site.
Earlier on Wednesday, May 10, the Regional Secretary of Mappi Regency, Ferdinandus Kaiakamu, officially opened the 116th TMMD activity in 2023 in Homlikya Village, Syahhcame District, Mappi Regency.
