Selling Nephew To Men With Nostrils, Pimps In Banyumas Arrested
The PPA Unit Sat Reskrim Banyumas Police managed to secure a pimp who was suspected of committing the crime of trafficking in persons or sexual exploitation of minors that occurred at a hotel in the Baturraden area of Banyumas Regency, Central Java. The Head of Banyumas Police, Kombes Pol Edy Suranta Sitepu, through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Agus Supriadi S, explained that the perpetrator was PA (21) a woman resident of Jalan Kombas, Purwokerto Lor Village, East Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency, with the victim being a brother with the initials DPK (16) and VAJ (13) a resident of East Purwokerto. "So the modus operandi is that these perpetrators seek profit by offering and trading minors who are their own nephews to other men to have sexual relations like husband and wife in exchange for money", said Kasat Reskrim through a written statement, Jum'at 5 May. Furthermore, Kasat Reskrim explained that this case was revealed after a report from the victim's parents on Wednesday, May 3. The reporter mentioned the alleged practice of trafficking of minors by PA perpetrators in a hotel located in Baturraden.

"This originated from the suspicion of parents (the reporter) whose children went with PA perpetrators on Sunday, April 30. After being asked by his parents, the victim admitted that he was sold by PA to have intercourse at a hotel in Baturraden", said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit. Receiving this information, the Banyumas Police Sat Reskrim Unit conducted witness examinations, looking for evidence and clues to find the whereabouts of the perpetrator. After the perpetrator was arrested and admitted his actions, then the perpetrator was taken to the Banyumas Police Criminal Investigation Unit Office for further examination. "When interrogated, the perpetrator admitted that he had carried out the practice of trafficking in persons since 2022 at a rate of 300-400 thousand rupiah. And the perpetrator received a reward from each of these transactions", said Kasat Reskrim. On his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 17 Jo Article 2 of Law No.21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons or Article 15 Paragraph (1) letter g of Law No.12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Violence or Article 88 of Law No.35 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law No.23 of 2002 concerning the protection of Jo Law No.17 of 2016 concerning Law No.1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law No.23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
