BRI Records A Surge In BRImo Transactions Of Up To 99 Percent
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) recorded a surge in BRImo transactions of up to 99 percent in the first quarter of 2023. In line with the surge in BRI's latest transactions, it also recorded a total transaction value of Rp884 trillion and the number of users which reached more than 26.3 million users at the end of the first quarter of 2023.
"Changes in customer preferences who are increasingly fond of digital transactions, especially in the micro & ultra micro segment are projected to continue in 2023," said BRI President Director Sunarso as quoted on Friday, April 28.
Sunarso added that BRI also recorded an increase in the number of BRILink Agents, which as of March 2023 had reached more than 650 thousand agents with a total transaction value of IDR 325.65 trillion.
"In addition to increasing penetration of financial inclusion services in Indonesia, the Hybrid Bank Business Model implemented by BRI will provide more effective, efficient, and integrated banking services in accordance with the digital literacy journey of the Indonesian people," said Sunarso.
Regarding the collection of Third Party Funds (DPK), BRI was able to collect DPK of Rp1,255.45 trillion or double-digit growth of 11.45 percent yoy with the main support for low-cost fund growth or CASA which grew 13.01 percent yoy to Rp810.09 trillion.

BRI's focus on accelerating its ability to raise low-cost funds has increased to 64.53 percent, this figure is higher when compared to the same period the previous year, which was 63.63 percent.
The increase in CASA is supported by BRI's strategy to increase customer transactions in the micro, retail and wholesale segments. In the micro and retail segments, CASA collection is supported by optimization of transactions through AgentBRILink, Super Apps BRImo, and digital payment platform (BRI API).
Meanwhile, in the wholesale segment, CASA collection is optimized through the development of an integrated digital payment platform that we call Qlola. The Qlola platform provides comprehensive access to BRI wholesale banking services such as Cash Management, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Management, Foreign Exchange, Investment Service, and Financial Dashboard services.
