BCA Transaction Volume Reaches 6.9 Billion, Dominated From Digital
JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) Tbk. noted that the transaction volume had reached 6.9 billion in the first quarter of 2023, an increase of 27.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
"This growth is supported by the expansion of online and offline channels that are consistent through investment in multi-channels, as well as the growth of customer bases," said BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja in a virtual press conference, on Thursday, April 27.
Especially on digital channels, the volume of mobile banking and internet banking transactions reached 5.8 billion, an increase of 29.5 percent on an annual basis or year on year (yoy).
Regarding the development of myBCA, the application is prepared to become an integrated service application for the future, so that a number of features to improve customer transaction convenience continue to be added, such as debit card control, credit card control, to withdrawal features and cardless cash deposits.
"The application of myBCA and BCA Mobile will run simultaneously in the future to provide comprehensive solutions for banking services for customers," said Jahja.

With the increase in transaction volume, BCA noted that revenue in addition to interest grew 5.6 percent on an annual basis to Rp6.3 trillion, supported by an increase in revenue fees and commissions of 6.9 percent on an annual basis.
"In total, operating income was recorded at IDR 24.8 trillion, an increase of 21.5 percent on an annual basis," said Jahja.
As part of the company's social responsibility, Bakti BCA through the "Wayang for Student" program has provided training and assistance to the younger generation in preserving wayang cultural arts since 2012.
