Nyebrang Passengers From Sumatra To Java Increase 4 Percent During The Eid Season

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) noted that the total number of passengers crossing from Sumatra to Java ranging from D-10 to D+3 reached 788,004 people, an increase of four percent compared to the realization of the same period last year, which was 758,094 people.

"The total number of vehicles that have crossed was recorded at 163,168 units, an increase of three percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 158,278 units," said Corporate Secretary of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Shelvy Arifin in a written statement, Thursday, April 27.

Shelvy said this was based on data from the Bakauheni Command Post for 24 hours (period 26 April 2023 at 08.00 WIB until 27 April 2023 at 08.00 WIB) or D+3 Lebaran 2023. "It was recorded that the number of ships operating was 37 units," he said.

The realization of total passengers reached 111,875 people or decreased by 21 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year as many as 142,377 people. "The realization of two-wheeled vehicles that have crossed reached 11,034 units or decreased by three percent compared to last year's realization reaching 11,413 units," he said.

Meanwhile, four-wheeled vehicles reached 13,518 units, down 28 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 18,863 units.

"Meanwhile, logistics trucks that have crossed from Sumatra Island to Java reached 1,069 units, an increase of 54 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year as many as 695 units," said Shelvy.

Thus, the total number of vehicles reached 26,089 units that had crossed from Sumatra to Java on D+3 Lebaran 2023 or decreased by 17 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 31,538 units.

On the other hand, continued Shelvy, based on data from the Merak Command Post for the last 24 hours on D+3 Lebaran 2023, the realization of total passengers has reached 50,925 people, down nine percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 56,193 people.

It was noted that the realization of two-wheeled vehicles that had crossed reached 1,696 units, an 11 percent increase compared to last year's realization of 1,523 units.

Then, four-wheeled vehicles reached 6,356 units or 17 percent lower than the realization of the same period last year of 7,666 units. Meanwhile, logistics trucks that had crossed from Java to Sumatra reached 963 units, an increase of 13 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 856 units.

"Total, seluruh kendaraan tercatat 9,473 unit yang telah melintah dari Jawa ke Sumatra pada H+3 atau turun 10 persen dibanding realisasi periode sama tahun lalu sebanyak 10,517 unit," jelas Shelvy.

Finally, the total number of passengers crossing from Java to Sumatra ranging from D-10 to D+3 was recorded at 1,111,064 people, an increase of two percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 1,084,202 people. "And for the total vehicles that have crossed, 250,473 units were recorded, an increase of one percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 247,101 units," he concluded.
