Previously, the center of the Makassar TSM crowd caught fire at around 18.30 WITA. As a result of this incident, hundreds of visitors rushed out because the four-story building was surrounded by thick smoke. Several visitors who came out late were trapped and managed to get out experiencing shortness of breath.
From video footage circulating on social media, the initial trigger for the fire came from a photo booth in the form of a replica ornament of the Eiffel tower and flowers made of paper material on the first floor.
Initially, when he was exposed to the hot lights, he emitted a fire, causing the ornament to collapse and cause thick smoke to spread to other rooms. Luckily, the fire was successfully extinguished, but thick smoke still enveloped all the rooms of the building.
