TNI And Polri Clashes In Kupang Are Completed, Members Involved Will Be Processed To Have A Deterrent Effect
KUPANG 'in the aftermath of a commotion between Denpom 01-IX/Kupang members and members of the NTT Regional Police during the Futsal Match at Gor Oepoi, Kupang City, on Wednesday, April 19, elements of the TNI and Polri leaders held a meeting in the IIIth floor Hall of the NTT Police Headquarters, Thursday afternoon, April 20.
NTT Police Chief Inspector General Johni Asadoma said that his party had carried out preventive measures since the incident, all elements of the leadership in Kupang immediately held an emergency meeting. "The final match of the futsal was not between the TNI vs Polri but between the Futsal team of the NTT Police vs. Futsal Team P and K TTS, but then in the match there was a misunderstanding where there were members who jumped or fell down and then they would be protected and invited out by members of the PM. This is the misunderstanding that occurred which caused clashes between members of the National Police and the Indonesian Army PM," said the Kapolda.
Furthermore, the Kapolda also said that the incident was considered over and members of Denpom 01-IX/Kupang who were in charge of the match security immediately asked the match committee to be dismissed. So, he continued, the match, which had just been held in the first half, was immediately stopped because this caused a danger of a commotion to become bigger.
Regarding the damaged PAM posts, the Kapolda said that the TNI-Polri would build them together, as well as PAM posts. Idul Fitri services will be jointly guarded by the TNI-Polri.
