Lombok Airport Prepares COVID-19 Vaccine Service Ahead Of Eid

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Lombok Airport, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has re-opened COVID-19 vaccination services in order to improve Eid Al-Fitr 2023 homecoming service (Idul Fitri) and prevent new clusters of COVID-19 cases.

"Lombok Airport in collaboration with the Mataram Class II KKP is still providing a third dose of COVID-19 vaccination service or a free booster ahead of the 2023 Lebaran homecoming flow," said General Manager of PT Angkasa I Lombok Airport, Rahmat Adil Indrawan, quoted from Antara, Sunday.

He explained that the vaccination service, which is located in the check-in area of the Lombok Airport passenger terminal, is expected to be used for prospective passengers who have not been vaccinated, so that they can travel on the 2023 Eid homecoming flow.

"Prospective passengers who have not been vaccinated can vaccinate at the airport directly," he said.

He said the travel requirements by air transportation, according to the Circular of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 82 of 2022 dated August 29, 2022, domestic travelers aged 18 years and over must have received the third dose of vaccine (booster).

"Domestic travelers aged 6-17 years must have received the second dose of vaccination," he said.

Meanwhile, domestic travelers under the age of 6 are not required to be vaccinated, but are required to travel with travel companions who have met the vaccine provisions.

"We are advised to prospective passengers to fulfill these requirements for the smooth running of their journey," he said.

He said, in terms of service, to deal with the potential spike in travelers this year, Lombok Airport operates the Lebaran Air Transport Integrated Command Post in 1444 H/2023 from April 14 to May 2, 2023.

"Posko, which operates for 19 days, will monitor and control to maintain security, order, and comfort for Lombok Airport service users during the period of homecoming flow and backflow of Lebaran 2023," he said.

Meanwhile, 186 officers per shift were prepared, consisting of 116 internal personnel of PT Angkasa Pura I and 70 external personnel (TNI AD, TNI AU, Polri, Immigration, Customs and Excise, Port Health Office.

"Hopefully this year's homecoming flow will run safely and smoothly," said Rahmat Adil Indrawan.
