Polda Metro Receives 6 Chaos Reports At KPK, Including Allegations Of Leaking Investigation Documents At The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has received 6 police reports (LP) regarding chaos at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). One of them is related to allegations of abuse of authority following the removal of Brigadier General Endar Priantoro as Director of Investigation.

"A total of 6 reports," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters, Friday, March 14.

However, Trunoyudo did not specify the six reports. It was only conveyed if Polda Metro Jaya would examine the reporting file.

"The report will be further reviewed by the Polda Metro Jaya and study the reported events and the connection between the reporter and the incident," said Trunoyudo.

Of the six reports, it is possible that some of them were reports made by Brigadier General Endar Priantoro through his attorney.

He reported the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the KPK Cahya H Harefa and the Head of the KPK Bureau Zuraida Retno Pamungkas to Polda Metro Jaya. The report was registered with the number LP/B/1959/IV/2023/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya dated April 11.

Then, the reporting made by the Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) regarding the alleged leaking of documents resulting from investigations into alleged corruption in the performance allowance of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The report was made via hotline on April 7.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto had responded to the report and also said that he would study it first.

If later the report is deemed appropriate to be investigated, of course the investigative team will immediately carry out investigation steps. If it is the other way around then, it will not be continued.

"We as investigators from law enforcement officers will certainly examine first, if it is worth investigating, we will investigate it onwards," said Karyoto.
