Mia Goth And Mahersala Ali Join Marvel Studio Film, Blade
JAKARTA - Mia Goth reportedly joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and followed Mahersala Ali. He is said to be one of the players in the latest Marvel Studio film, Blade.
Apart from Goth, Mahersala Ali called Deadline also joined this production. Previously, Ali's voice was heard in the credit for the film Eternals which hinted at him to be Blade.
Marvel hasn't announced Ali as the Blade actor yet, but his name has become a cameo in the film.
The film is planned to be directed by Yann Demange, a French director who worked on the film White Boy Rick (2007) and the series totaling Country (2020). While the script was written by Michael Starrbury.
Kevin Feige as Marvel's boss participated as a producer. But so far Marvel has not confirmed the news and revealed the official plot.
The news of the Blade film has been in the air since several years ago. In 2019, Marvel revealed plans to remake after Wesley Snipes, who played Blade in 1998.
The figure of Blade is a half-human vampire after her mother was bitten while pregnant with Blade. This character was popular in the 90s after New Line adapted comics with Snipes as the main character.
On the other hand, Mia Goth's name is shining even more after starring in two films A24, X and Pearl. These two films managed to lead Goth to the ranks of Independent Spirits nominations and the Critics Choice Award.
