Yassamin Jasem Turns Into A Currency, This Is The Reason
JAKARTA - Every character played by an artist in the film has an impact on his players. Yasamin Jasem, for example, was carried away by the purporting nature he played as Rahayu in the Khanzab film.
He admitted that he was constantly reminded to explore the character of a deadlock and play in his role as Rahayu in his latest horror film Khanzab.
"Anyway, what is often reminded should not be too friendly and miss his smile, that's what he is always reminded of and his face must be flat, his gaze is sharp until his head is dizzy," said Yassamin during a visit to the VOI office, Tana Abang, Thursday, April 6.
The atmosphere of the set that supports and chemistry with the players makes Yasamin feel easier in playing his character. In addition, the reading process and the horror atmosphere built by director Anggy Umbara made Yasamin feel easy to adapt and be able to explore his character.
"The character in the Khanzab film is more complex than the character in the previous horror film, he really knows what happened to him but can't tell stories and people don't believe it, this film is really horror because it was previously horror but there was a drama with romance," he said.
After finishing filming, Yassamin immediately invited his friends to come together to forget the Rahayu frog. "That was in the 98s set, right. When I left out with a friend, it was like someone who was amazed by the current set. Wow, now it's modern. It turned out to be very carried away in the real life of my character," he said.
Khanzab tells the story of Rahayu (Yasamin Jasem) who was bullied in the past for the murder of his father who was squeezed in front of his eyes because he was accused of being the shaman of witchcraft in Banyuwangi. The story begins a year later when Rahayu had to live with her stepmother, Nuning (Tika Brahani) began to be disturbed and terrorized by creatures from another nature named Khanzab, a genie that disturbs people during prayer.
The film Khanzab will hit Indonesian cinemas starting April 19.
