Get Ready, Telkom Will Distribute Dividends Around IDR 20 Trillion
JAKARTA - The management of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) proposed dividend distribution of IDR 16 trillion to IDR 20 trillion. This is equivalent to 65-80 percent of the company's total net profit in 2022 which reached IDR 25.8 trillion.
Telkom's SVP Corporate Communication & Investor Relations Ahmad Reza said that the dividend ratio of Telkom 65-80 perseb was quite good, considering that market conditions had also improved again.
"TLKM stock price trends are also starting to rise. Perhaps, it can be seen from the number that foreign investors have already bought. So, Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) is one of the good ones for the telecommunications industry," Reza said in his presentation to the media, quoted Monday, April 10.
Furthermore, said Reza, the FMC project could run not solely to pursue profitability, but more than that as Telkom's effort to develop networks to penetrate remote parts of Indonesia and other parts of Eastern Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Telkom VP Investor Relations Edwin Sebayang added that this dividend will be sourced from the company's net profit of operations which managed to score an increase of 7.7 percent.
"So, if the analysts look at it from the net profit of the operation which in 2022 reached IDR 25.8 trillion compared to 2021 of IDR 24 trillion. So, that makes us optimistic that the dividend will move more to the right or to the 80 percent level," said Edwin.
