Is It True That Khanzab's Film Makes You Afraid To Pray Alone? This Is What The Director And His Players Say
JAKARTA - The film Khanzab is said to make people afraid to pray alone. Many are worried that the screening of the film starring Tika Brahani and Yassam Jassem will add to the fear of praying alone. This was directly denied by director Anggy Umbara.
"It's impossible because watching continues to be afraid of praying alone. I'm afraid, I'm afraid. And I'm afraid it should be with Allah. If the intentions are strong, whatever temptation comes, the prayers will not be followed," said Anggy Umbara when visiting the VOI office, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Thursday, April 6.
Yassamin admitted that at first he received similar information. "When many were offered to play this film, many said that later they would be afraid of praying. But after reading the scenario, it didn't. This film actually strengthens us to pray solemnly," said the 19-year-old girl.
Yayas, Yassam Jassem's nickname, was even curious about how to visualize Khanzab. "In the past, someone said that praying alone was tight to the wall so that no one would agree. So I'm curious about what Khanzab was like," he explained.
After playing, he actually understands that disturbances can come from anywhere. "There are many genies that disturb prayers. Unpretentious thoughts like the Rahayu character that I play have a grudge. That's why Khanzab is easy to influence," he explained.
Tika Brahani ensured that Khanzab's film would not scare people from praying alone. He hopes the audience will be more solemn in their prayers after watching.
"Tonton first, the film has a story. It won't scare you from praying alone," he said.
