Mike Tramp Invites Vito Bratta To Collaborate, But Not Under The Name White Lion
JAKARTA - In an interview with Dawn Osborne of TotalRock, Mike Trap once again talked about the possibility of White Lion's classic line-up reunion, featuring guitarist Vito Bratta.
"Obviously, every time I post something, people always ask the same question. And it's a shame no other source can answer this question, like Vito," Mike was quoted as saying Friday.
"I often communicate with Vito, and we never talk about music, etc. Vito knows what to do if she wants to do something. It's that simple," continued Mike.
Mike believes, Vito and himself don't want a White Lion reunion. The reason is, it will destroy their fond memories on stage as well as a team of great songwriters and musicians.
"We won't be as good as I thought when I went to a European festival where I played in a complete band, in a way I have changed and realized where I am today and what it takes," Mike said.
The husband of veteran actress Ayu Azhari revealed that a few hours before conducting this interview, she sent an email message to Vito. What's in it?
"I said, 'When I prepared to go out into the world and play the songs you and I wrote, fans came from left and right asking, 'What did Vito do?' in the way [Jimmy] Page and [Robert] Plant did when they obviously didn't want to reform Led Zeppelin, you know where I am. I also know that we're not going to be on stage together as White Lion', "explained Mike.
"So it's important for people to know because Mike Trap talks to White Lion and because Mike Trap is out there playing White Lion, or Vito Bratta/Mike Trap song, that doesn't mean I don't want to play with Vito, but that won't happen," added Mike.
"And I hope Vito will come out and make a statement like that. But he and I are on good terms. And the older I am and the more I look back, the more I appreciate the time we have together. And I don't want it to be destroyed by a annoying reunion, etc., etc. I don't want to go back with my ex-wife."
