Prosecutors Arrest Head Of Corruption Fugitive Village Nearly IDR 1 Billion
JAKARTA - The Intelligence Team of the Attorney General's Office together with the Jambi Attorney General's Office and the North Sumatra Attorney General's Office have arrested a village head who is a fugitive suspect in a corruption case with nearly Rp1 billion.
The Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence, Sunarta, explained that the fugitive arrested was Sarpin (48), the Head of Bulungihit Village, Marbau District, Labuhan Batu Utara Regency, North Sumatra.
Sarpin is a suspect in the corruption case in the management of APBDesa in Bulungihit Village, Marbau District, North Labuhanbatu Regency for the 2016-2019 fiscal year with a state loss of IDR 960 million.
Reporting from Antara, the Attorney General's Office has also issued an Investigation Letter from the Labuhan Batu District Attorney Number: Print-01 / L.2.18 / F.2 / 07/2020 dated July 14, 2020.
However, after being named a suspect, Sarpin was absent several times from the summons until the prosecutor's office issued a wanted list (DPO) for the person concerned.
Finally, said Sunarta, the suspect was arrested at Jalan Desa Siberida RT 09, Batang Gangsal District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province, Monday, November 23, at around 18.30 WIB.
