Waiting For The Invitation Of Police Investigators To Clarify Rizieq Shihab's Crowd

JAKARTA - The police have not been able to confirm when Rizieq Shihab's invitation will be clarified regarding the alleged violation of the health protocol (Prokes) in Petamburan, Central Jakarta and Megamendung, West Java.

Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that the scheduling of the invitation time for the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was entirely up to investigators.

"Regarding the plan to summon HRS, it is entirely the investigator's authority. Who will do the clarification, ask for information, of course everything is the investigator's authority," Awi told reporters, Monday, November 23.

Awi explained that the alleged violation of the prokes was handled by a joint team from Bareskrim Polri, Polda Metro Jaya and Polda West Java. He made sure the plants would not overlap.

"So that in the process we are basically the National Police Headquarters backing up. So there is no overlap, everything will be coordinated properly," said Awi.

Originally, the West Java Regional Police had planned to invite Rizieq Shihab to be questioned regarding the alleged violation of the health protocol due to a crowd in Megamendung, Bogor.

Head of West Java Regional Police Public Relations Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago said Rizieq's summons to clarify or find a bright spot in the problem that occurred.

"(Rizieq Shihab) will definitely be summoned by the investigators for clarification, so the flow of the problem will be clear," Erdi told reporters, Saturday, November 21.

But it is not yet certain when the investigators sent out the invitation for clarification. However, if it is realized later, investigators will dig up information regarding the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the pesantren which caused a crowd.

"We will explore whether Habib Rizieq is the owner of the location, or if the person concerned is invited. That will be explored," he said.
