The Development Of Industrial Estates In Batang Continues To Be Encouraged
JAKARTA - The state-owned construction company, PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), together with several SOEs and Government Institutions synergized to support government programs in the development of Integrated Industrial Estates (KIT) in Indonesia.
Previously, PTPP together with PT Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma (Persero), and PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX (Persero), continued to accelerate the process of developing the Batang Phase 1 Integrated Industrial Zone (KIT) covering an area of 450 hectares.
In the development of KIT Batang Phase 1, several supporting facilities and regional connectivity will be built, including temporary area access, toll road intersections, 11.4 km of secondary roads, 5.2 km of main roads, marketing galleries, expansion of stations and dryport. , electricity network, raw water supply, simple rental flats, and Waste IPAL.
"Currently, PTPP together with KIW and PTPN IX are accelerating the progress of construction work on temporary access roads, licensing, and construction of marketing galleries," said PTPP's Managing Director, Novel Arsyad, in a statement received by VOI, Friday, October 30.
KIT Batang is located in Batang Regency, Central Java Province, which has a total land area to be developed of 4,300 hectares. The Batang KIT is served by five main infrastructure networks, namely having direct connectivity with the railroad linking industrial centers along the island of Java.
Then KIT Batang is also accessible to four major ports, three ports of goods, one international airport, access to the Trans Java Toll Road, and access to the National Road Route 1 Pantura.
"Its strategic location makes KIT Batang the optimal choice for investment in industrial estates and residences in the future," said Novel Arsyad.
The Batang KIT area is divided into three clusters. Cluster 1, covering an area of 3,100 hectares, will carry out the development of an Industrial Estate & Industrial Township (Kreasi District). Kemudin Cluster 2 covering an area of 800 hectares will be used for the development of the Innovation & Township Center (Innovation District).
"And Cluster 3 covering an area of 400 hectares will be used for the development of the Recreation Center & Township (Recreation District)," explained Novel Arsyad.
In the development of KIT Batang Phase 1 covering an area of 450 hectares, in general, this area is planned to become an integrated industrial area supported by various supporting functions. Apart from the complete line of facilities to be built in the area, KIT Batang has several location advantages.
In addition to easy access to transportation, in this area there are PLTU Batang 2x1,000 MW & PLTS 50 MW with alternative locations in the Batang area. In the future, a Transit Oriented Department (TOD) will be created by the Batang Regency Government.
In addition, KIT Batang has a strategic location where it can be reached by four hours from Jakarta, and one hour from Semarang. The area has a distance of 50 km from Ahmad Yani Airport and 65 km from Tanjung Mas Harbor with a travel time of 50 minutes.
Novel Arsyad said, PTPP synergizes with KIW, PTPN IX, Perumda Batang, BKPM, Ministry of BUMN and other stakeholders continue to accelerate the completion of administration and fieldwork for the construction of Phase 1 KIT Batang Phase 1 covering an area of 450 hectares.
The Batang KIT is part of a government program to encourage the strengthening of the Industrial sector in Indonesia. Therefore, PTPP always supports every program launched by the Government in order to increase economic activity in Indonesia.
"PTPP is optimistic that the Phase I construction can be completed as targeted by the government," said Novel Arsyad.
