On 13,000 M2 Land, Jokowi Groundbreaking BRI International Microfinance Center At IKN

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conducted a Groundbreaking for the BRI Building in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN). Later, BRI will build a BRI International Microfinance Center in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

As is known, previously in IKN 4 groundbreakings have also been carried out and the construction of a number of other infrastructures began, ranging from the presidential palace, ministry offices, health facilities, educational facilities, shopping centers, sports facilities, residences, to hotels.

According to President Jokowi, the groundbreaking was carried out as proof of Indonesia's commitment and readiness to build IKN into a world-class capital city.

The BRI International Microfinance Center, which is built on an area of 13 thousand square meters, will consist of BRI Office Nusantara, BRI Microfinance Gallery, and BRI Community Hub.

BRI Office Nusantara with 8 floors in which there are Lobby, Priority Lounge, Office Area, and Multifunction Hall and BRI Microfinance Gallery functioned as galleries for MSMEs, as well as BRI Community Hub which will function as ampitheaters that can be used for event gatherings and outdoor exhibitions, each building is equipped with a rooftop.

BRI President Director Sunarso revealed that the construction of the BRI International Microfinance Center for the capital city of Nusantara is a form of BRI's dedication, especially in supporting the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, which is the backbone of the Indonesian economy.

"BRI as a bank that focuses on the MSME business, has consistently made various efforts to continue to develop and empower MSMEs," said Sunarso in a written statement, Thursday, February 29.

Currently BRI also has the BRI Research Institute (BRIrins), an institution that consistently conducts research on all aspects related to the empowerment of SMEs. The results of the research are used for input in the preparation of various MSME empowerment policies.

Sunarso hopes that the construction of the BRI Building at IKN will be a step that will provide broad benefits for all Indonesian people, in line with BRI's vision.

"Hopefully this step will provide broad benefits for all Indonesian people, in line with BRI's vision as 'The Most Valuable Banking Group In Southeast Asia & Champion Of Financial Inclusion' which also supports the great ideals of the Indonesian nation towards the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045'," concluded Sunarso.
