BBN Airlines Indonesia Facilitates A Series Of Humanitarian Aid Delivery Missions

JAKARTA - The country's new airline, BBN Airlines Indonesia, today started its first flight from a series of humanitarian aid delivery missions.

As a company officially appointed by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to carry out missions in a challenging humanitarian situation, BBN Airlines Indonesia realizes that the company's swift contribution will be able to ease the burden a little and provide hope for people in need, amidst the difficulties they are facing.

"BBN Airlines Indonesia sees this as a tangible manifestation of our participation in the people in need, based on our commitment to the value of humanity and corporate social responsibility," said Chairman of BBN Airlines Indonesia, Martynas Grigas, in a written statement, Monday, November 20.

As an experienced Capacity Solution Provider Airlines providing ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) services as well as commercial and cargo charter aircraft rentals, BBN Airlines Indonesia has carefully considered the right cargo capacity to ensure smoothness and effectiveness in facilitating missions.

The Boeing 737-800BCF aircraft, with registration number PK-BBA, was used on the first flight carrying Humanitarian Aid Cargo with a total weight of up to 20 tons. This humanitarian aid has been collected for donations and contributions from various parties in Indonesia.

Together with the release ceremony led directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the cargo carried by BBN Airlines Indonesia has taken off from Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport (HLP), Jakarta to El Arish International Airport (AAC), Egypt.

"The flight path for the delivery of Humanitarian Aid Cargo today will involve several stops for the necessary refueling needs. We are compiling this plan by considering the operational needs of aircraft in long-distance travel, to ensure effective and efficient delivery, as well as ensuring the safety and welfare of the entire crew on duty," explained Martynas.

As part of a series of missions, BBN Airlines Indonesia will still operate several similar flights in the future. This step is mainly expected to provide benefits for those in need, while at the same time strengthening the bond of solidarity between countries.

"We feel proud and appreciate the government's trust in providing BBN Airlines Indonesia with the opportunity to be a part of the humanitarian aid mission. We also appreciate the support from the Paragon Group, Angkasa Pura Logistics (APLOG), as well as all parties, including from within and outside the country, who have been involved in the successful delivery of this humanitarian aid," concluded Martynas.
