JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Azwar Anas appreciated the implementation of the Local Revolution which was held at Spark Mall, Jakarta, Friday, November 10.

"I appreciate this extraordinary activity. I entered earlier, 'Oh, this is the title of the Local Revolution'. So this extraordinary activity," said Minister Azwar Anas in his remarks.

Azwar Anas said that the Local Revolution is a place to echo the use of local products by the community.

"Hopefully this will revolutionize how we think of winning global battles by making more quality local products, of course with great networks," he said.

He added that the government itself has made various efforts to continue to boost the use of local products, one of which is by buying domestic products through e-catalog for ASN.

"This is the president's direction so that the impact is real. If the 6 million ASN spend 1,500 trillion, continue to shop for their products through e-catalog and local products, I think the activities of friends to continue to encourage these local products can be stronger. I think it is more relevant," said Azwar Anas.

In addition, Azwar Anas revealed that in the near future presidential regulation (Perpres) regarding the digitization of government technology (GovTech) will soon be issued.

"God willing, this week one GovTech Presidential Decree will come out. So, with this Government Technology, Indonesia will have one step away. If we have built a toll road to facilitate the movement of goods and people, but soon we will have toll roads, public services," he said.

"So, in the future, our targets such as investment, local products, will host their own country through digitalization policies or government technology," he added.

On the other hand, Azwar Anas also invited Indonesian artists to promote local products.

The goal is for more and more people to know that Indonesian-made products are also of high quality.

"Oh yes, there is Ms. Luna Maya, I think this is important to promote local products. So, these artists not only promote products from outside, I think this is a good commitment. Hopefully, other artists will be able to promote domestic products," he concluded.

For your information, the Local Revolution is a movement aimed at increasing public awareness and love of local products. This movement seeks to restore local industries to become hosts in their own country so that they can compete with global brands.
