PUPR: IKN Toll Road Construction Progress Section 5A Capai 61.34 Percent

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the National Capital Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force or IKN revealed that the progress of the IKN Nusantara Toll Road Section 5A currently reaches 61.34 percent.

"The progress of the IKN Toll Road Section 5A currently reaches 61.34 percent," said Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga as reported by ANTARA, Friday, November 10.

Danis said the construction of the IKN Section 3A Toll Road currently reaches 34.22 percent. Meanwhile, the progress of the IKN Section 3B Toll Road has reached 42.67 percent.

The process of building the IKN Toll Road continues. The presence of the IKN Toll Road will later be able to cut travel time from Balikpapan City to IKN Nusantara.

The construction of the IKN Nusantara access toll road accelerates the mobility of people and goods to and from IKN.

"To get to the KIPP IKN area from Balikpapan now takes 2 hours 30 minutes. When this toll road is completed, it will take approximately 30 minutes to get to IKN Nusantara," said Danis.

The IKN Section 5A Toll Road is a toll road connected to the IKN Section 5B toll road and will then be connected to the IKN Section 6A and 6B to the IKN Central Government Core Area (KIPP).

Section 3A and 3B IKN Toll Roads will be connected to the Balikpapan - Samarinda Toll Road which is already operating to serve the community.

The IKN Access Toll Road is one of the basic infrastructures in IKN whose construction is accelerated by the Ministry of PUPR in order to support connectivity and the gradual start of moving the nation's capital from Jakarta to IKN Nusantara in 2024.
