Hutama Karya Calls The Progress Of The Prof Ngoerah Denpasar RSUP Project Reaches 61 Percent

PT Persero Hutama Karya (HK) said the progress on the Mother and Child Health Service Building project at Prof. Dr. IGNG Ngoerah Denpasar, Bali, as of October 2023 reached 61.65 percent and is targeted for completion in early 2024.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary HK Tjahjo Purnomo in his statement in Jakarta, Friday, said the project started in November 2022 with a project investment value of Rp197 billion.

"If you look at the progress of positive work, the use of construction digitization such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) 360 levels 7D, and resource support of approximately 260 people, the project can be completed according to target or even faster," said Tjahjo, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 10.

Meanwhile, Prof. Ngoerah Hospital, previously known as Sanglah Hospital, carries the construction of the Mother and Child Health Service Building as an effort to reduce the mortality rate of mothers and babies.

Funding for the project, explained Tjahjo, came from a collaboration between Indonesia and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), with the aim of improving maternal and child services in 6 vertical hospitals in Indonesia.

In more detail, Tjahjo explained that in addition to implementing construction digitization, other acceleration efforts were also carried out such as carrying out simultaneous work.

Then focus on facade work or exterior buildings that have the highest level of work difficulties and completions in work areas that contribute significant progress.

The scope of HK's work includes preparation work, architecture, structure, mechanics, electricity, depletion, to site development.

This project has an area of about 21,341 m2 consisting of 5 floors and 1 basement. When completed, it will increase the hospital's hospitalization capacity by 139 ICU beds, and 170 non-ICU beds.

With the addition of hospitalization capacity, it will further strengthen the role of RSUP Prof. Ngoerah as the largest referral hospital in the Bali and Nusa Tenggara regions.

The Director General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health, Azhar Jaya, expressed his hope that all vertical hospitals currently being built should prioritize aspects of comfort.

"On the direction of the Minister of Health (Budi Gunadi) for public areas such as lobbys, corridors, and waiting rooms are made as comfortable as possible as private hospitals," said Azhar.
