KPUPR Completes Football Field Renovation Ahead Of The U-17 World Cup, This Is What Is Fixed

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Human Settlements completed the renovation of the match field and training ground in the U-17 World Cup Context in November 2023.

"The renovation was carried out based on the results of FIFA visits and Presidential Instruction Number 04 of 2023 concerning Support for the Implementation of the Federation Internationale De Football Association Under 17 World Cup in 2023," said Director General of Human Settlements Diana Kusumastuti in a written statement received by VOI, Monday, November 6.

Diana said the renovation work had been completed on October 26, 2023 and handed over to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and FIFA on October 27, 2023.

From the results of the FIFA visit, there are several proposals that need to be followed up, including for the Renovation of the Jakarta Cluster Training Field, namely, at GOR Soemantri Brodjonegoro and Lapangan Banteng.

"Furthermore, it is necessary to renovate the Bandung Cluster Match Field and Training Field, namely at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Arcamanik Stadium, and ITB Field," he said.

From the results of the visit, Diana said, renovations also need to be carried out at the Surakarta Cluster Match Field and Training Field, namely, at Manahan Stadium, Blulukan Field and the University of March 11.

Then, at the Surabaya Cluster Match Field, namely Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium. "The renovation work starts on September 15, 2023 and the overall progress currently reaches 100 percent," he said.

Previously reported, the Ministry of PUPR has completed the renovation of 12 training fields in three (3) provinces, namely West Java, Central Java, and East Java, in preparation for the 2023 U-20 World Cup plan.
